A phrase I’ve heard that continues to stick with me: homelessness isn’t the presence of failure—it’s the absence of opportunity.
I believe we can design new kinds of opportunity. Quiet ones. Community-led ones. The kind that grow—built on trust, resourcefulness, and care. Over the next 12 months, as part of reciproCITY, I’ll be working on a small, regenerative housing prototype—something affordable, replicable, and shaped by lived experience.
I’ve always believed that big things are possible with tiny steps, and that by putting them out into the universe helps make them happen—and maybe this is one of them.
Imagine if those who needed a home were supported to build one. Not just walls and a roof, but community, confidence, and a new beginning. Imagine if housing could be a catalyst for learning new skills, creating jobs, and restoring dignity—one project at a time.
This is my small step. If any of this resonates with you—if you’re working in this space, or simply curious—I’d love to connect.
You can follow the journey here and on Instagram at @project.reciproCITY. I’ll be sharing progress, prototypes, and thoughts along the way.
