DESIGN BRIEF // Design a small structure that provides somewhere to sit with a friend, share food and enjoy a view.
DESIGN RESPONSE // Evolving through research, sketching, model making and feedback from tutors, I arrived at the final design. The round base, curved lines and the sense of being in a cocoon of timber was inspired by traditional indigenous architecture, while the individual layers and structural elements echo boat skeletons and sails.
